The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a shared set of global goals aimed at creating a better and more sustainable world, adopted at the United Nations Summit in September 2015.
Guided by the belief that “together, we can build a better society,” azuma Industrial continues to support these goals through a wide range of everyday activities and initiatives.
Around the world, companies and public institutions are advancing sustainability efforts in ways that reflect their own scale and priorities. We are also working to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions by responsibly maintaining our solar power systems, improving operational efficiency, and reducing CO2 emissions across our facilities and operations.
One initiative that plays a central role in these efforts is our “E-Mark” program. We divide a product’s life cycle into four stages—raw materials, packaging, use, and disposal—and work to reduce environmental impact at each stage. Products that meet these standards carry the “E-Mark” on their packaging.
This approach helps incorporate environmental awareness from the earliest stages of product development and has become an important guiding principle in the way we do business.

So that people can continue living comfortably in their communities, we focus on the ways we can contribute and put those ideas into action. We carry out local clean-up activities not only in our hometown of Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, but also at our sales and manufacturing sites across Japan. We also provide ongoing support to organizations such as the Japan Guide Dog Association, as well as welfare organizations and facilities.
